DIGITTRADE RS128 and RS64 RFID key generation

Creation of two new RFID keys in case of loss or defect

The DIGITTRADE Security hard drives each have two keys for authentication and access control using RFID. Unlocking the hard drive is only possible with these keys for the DIGITTRADE RS256, RS128 and RS64. Each RFID key has its own ID. Only two contiguous keys can be generated and approved to unlock the hard drive.

It is possible to create two new keys for DIGITTRADE RS256, RS128 and RS64 Security hard drives. This may be required if one or both keys of the hard drive are lost or defective.

If only one key is missing or defective, you have the option to unlock the hard drive with the help of the second RFID key. In this case, please back up your data on another medium. Then format the DIGITTRADE Security hard drive and send it to us with the remaining RFID key and, if available, the defective key.

If both keys have been lost, there is no way to access the data. However, it is possible to provide a new AES key and RFID key set.

1) Notification of lost or defective RFID keys

If one or both RFID keys have been lost or defective, please let us know immediately by phone or email.

2) Submit the hard drive

Send the hard drive back to us for more information on this, provided support with or after your purchase. Back up the data before you send it in to create two new keys-when generating the keys, the data on the hard drive is irrevocably deleted. For privacy reasons, the hard drive should already be submitted in a formatted way. Shipping takes place at your own expense and hazards. DIGITTRADE GmbH is not liable for the loss of data or for any resulting costs and damages.

3) Generating the keys

After the creation of the two new RFID keys, the hard drive is returned. You will get the hard drive back from the factory formatted with two new RFID keys.
