DIGITTRADE GmbH has been developing and producing external encrypted storage devices and USB sticks since 2005. Banks, companies and public authorities use the highly secure HS256S and HS256 S3 storage devices for the secure transport of sensitive and personal data and for creating data protection-compliant backups. The DIGITTRADE storage media also offer many possible applications for private users. The HS256 S3 storage device was awarded the Common Criteria certificate by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) at the end of 2017. This makes it the first and so far the only storage device to fulfil the strict requirements of the German IT security authority.

The Kobra VS storage devices correspond to the current state of the technology, as regulated by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), and enable the GDPR compliant data storage, data retention, forwarding and secure transport of sensitive, personal and classified information up to the classification level VS-NfD (German public sector classification), RESTREINT UE/EU RESTRICTED and NATO RESTRICTED.
